Dichotomous Sammler 
The Dichotomous Sampler separates particles into two fractions size 2,5 and 10 µm, aerodynamic equivalent diameter (AED) ("coarse" particles) and less than 2,5 µm AED ("fine" particles). The Dichot´s "Virtual Impactor" design ensures that the particulate deposit is uniformly collected on two Teflon membrane filters which prevents artifact formation.

This also makes the Dichot ideal for X-ray fluorescence and other elemental impactor, in addition, eliminates possible problems of particle bounce and reintrainment.
